01The short version
YearRecap connects to your X account with read-only access to your public posts and interactions, and collects your email for account and billing. We never access your direct messages or password. YearRecap is not affiliated with X Corp.
02What we store
We store your X account ID, your selected tier (Free or Full Recap), and your email address in our secure database. Your recap is generated on the fly and delivered to you. We do not permanently store your post history.
03What we collect
Connecting your X account lets us read your public posts, likes, and interactions only to build your recap. If you authorize it, we also collect your email address. We never access your direct messages, password, or private account settings.
04What we never do
We never sell your data, never share it with advertisers, and never post to your account. Your recap is shareable only if you choose to share it.
05Cookies and tracking
We use no advertising cookies and no cross-site trackers. Any analytics are privacy-respecting and aggregate only.
06Your rights
You can revoke YearRecap’s access in your X account settings at any time. To delete your email and account record from our database, contact us.
07Payments & Billing
Purchases for the Full Recap are processed by our merchant of record, Dodo Payments. If you upgrade, we send your email address to Dodo Payments so they can complete the payment and email a receipt. We do not store or process your card numbers. See Dodo Payments’ privacy policy for how they handle billing data.
